Questions
Frequently asked questions
Do I need to give my name or contact details to see quotes?
No. To get rate quotes, the tool needs your gender, birth date, overall health level, whether you use tobacco, the death benefit amount you want, and how many years of coverage you need. That is the complete list. Your name, address, phone number, and detailed health history stay private until and unless you apply.
Are the monthly prices shown the price I will pay?
The prices you see are what each carrier quotes for the health rating you chose in the quiz. When you apply, the carrier reviews your medical history, tests, and background, and may confirm that rating or move you to a different class. Your final premium depends on the carrier's underwriting decision. These quotes are estimates for comparison, not a guarantee or an offer of coverage.
What happens when I click Apply?
You choose the carrier and quote that matched your needs, and the application starts with your name added to the answers you already gave. It runs on the carriers' secure platform and prefills everything from your quote session so you do not have to re-enter it. You can save and come back, and you sign your application electronically. Susman Insurance Agency, a licensed California insurance agency (License 0B75129), handles the whole process.
Will I need a medical exam?
Whether an exam is required depends on the carrier, the death benefit you are requesting, and the details you provide. Many carriers now use accelerated underwriting for applicants under about sixty with standard coverage amounts: they decide based on your application, prescription history, and driving record without a paramedical exam, sometimes within a day or two. Each quote on this site tells you if an exam is required, possibly required, or not required for that particular product and carrier.
Is a longer term better?
A term should match the years when your family would really need the money: a mortgage that will not be paid off for twenty years, children who will be in school for eighteen more years, a business loan or partnership that depends on you. A longer term costs more each month but locks in your rate for more years. A shorter term is less expensive but ends sooner. The quote tool lets you compare all the years—ten, fifteen, twenty, twenty-five and thirty—so you can see what different terms cost from each carrier.
Does this site sell my information?
No. The quote tool does not ask for or store your contact information. We do not sell data, share your information with marketers, or use advertising trackers. We measure traffic using a privacy-first method that sets no cookies and masks part of your IP address. Our first-party analytics respect Do Not Track signals, though the site also uses a cookieless beacon from the content delivery provider that does not read these signals.
